Our History

1990 - A group of volunteers starts their assistance work by donating food, giving hygiene lessons etc. to unprivileged communities.

1994 - We were invited to be responsible for the administration of an unprivileged-family day care center.

1996 - We founded 'Lar Vinicius*' which sheltered, in a small residence, children who were in precarious situation and that had been sent to us by the tutelage council/court of law.

1999 till today - A hundred and twenty children have been sheltered: sixty have been adopted, forty have returned to their biological families and twenty have remained with us.

*Our home has been named in honour of Vinicius which is the pseudonym of Pedro de Camargo, a writer and evangelist who was born in 1878 in Piracicaba and died in 1966.
